5/17/13 - Artist of the Week: CarrotCakeBandit

Hey everyone!

First of all, sorry for the late update. I usually update on Thursdays, but I was a bit busy last night. :(

Anyways, I actually had a difficult time choosing this week's Artist of the Week. There were several that I was considering, but I eventually decided on ~CarrotCakeBandit. I'll be featuring the others over the next few weeks. :)

CarrotCakeBandit is an awesome artist, to put it simply. She uses different styles, and does extremely well with all of them. A whole bunch of her artwork was added to NarutoHQ in the last couple of weeks, and several of them made it into the Featured section! :D Here are just a few of her wonderful pieces:

So, yeah. Lots of awesome features this week, and tons of other awesome work as well. If you love Naruto, then this is the place for you. :D

Rules


:bulletgreen: There are only a few simple rules:

  1. Not all artwork will be accepted into NarutoHQ. As I am currently the only admin, that basically means I choose what gets in. If you need an example of my standards, take a look in the gallery.

  2. Adult content is limited, but not entirely banned. Basically, just nothing extreme. With :dalogo:'s guidelines there isn't much that would qualify as too extreme, but there still is some. Believe me, I know. :giggle:

  3. Do not submit to the "Featured" folder. I or another admin chooses what is featured. Suggestions will be taken into account, but the ultimate decision goes to an admin.

:bulletgreen: NarutoHQ is a community which features only the best, highest-quality Naruto fanart. Currently, it is being run solely by me, ~TheQZ. I may add some admins at a later time, if I meet some people I find trustworthy and able to help run the group well.

:bulletgreen: This is a very new group, but is already has over 260 deviations. Unfortunately, I had to find and add them all personally, but I hope there will be members who will help with that in the future.


Why Was NarutoHQ Created?


:bulletgreen: To put it bluntly, there is simply too much stuff which is accepted into all the popular Naruto fanclub groups that does not qualify as art in my eyes. I truly do not want to offend anyone who puts effort and heart into their work; I just wanted a place where I can find the stuff that I want to see, without all the stuff that I would otherwise skip over. Since I couldn't find such a place, I decided to make one.

I appreciate the invite, however, I don't like drawing fanart for anime s, since I'm not good enough to do that XD I will have to decline. Sorry ;)

That really does not matter. There are lots of members who are not active artists. Hell, even I only have a tiny bit of Naruto artwork. I just prefer to have members rather than watchers. :D
